30/60/90 Cloak & Dagger

Fresh of the drawing table! Just had to clear my head a little bit so I gave a quick go for this couple. I've been meaning to draw a shot of these two for a while and this has been a good excuse. So it's a 30 minutes well spent. Although I've mainly used water colours on this the end result is more like mixed media as I added ink, markers, pens and white acrylic too.

I realize I have forgotten about her amulet but you'll have to excuse me for that.

30/60/90 Mina

This is something I've done a few days ago. I'm so busy these days with drawing muscle-bound guys that I HAD to give a small break to draw something prettier. So I came up with this portrait of Mina Murray from the League Of Extraordinary Gentleman. And this doesn't actually fit the 30/60/90 thing as it was only a 15 minute sketch.

X-Men Archives Sketch Cards

Here are a bunch of sketch cards I've done for Rİttenhouse Archives and Marvel Comics' X-Men Archives card set. I've done about 130-140 hand drawn sketch cards for this one. All done in pens and Copic markers. These are some of the ones I like better out of what I did for the project. It was huge fun working on this but I wish I had time to do more.

30/60/90 Iron Fist

This one was 90 minutes and it was a damn good 90 minutes as I had a lot of fun. I was happy to use the inks more freely for this.

30/60/90 Batwoman

Inspired to do this 60 minute sketch from JH Williams' rendition of Kane on Detective Comics. I always thought Batwoman was a cool character. Good to see DC will be exploring more of her now.
That said, I really am disappointed on how this turned out because it ended up like anything that I normally do. Couldn't experiment much so hopefully the next addition to 30-60-90 will be something different both in technique and concept.

30/60/90 Batman

I've been meaning to draw a Batman for a while now so I've started out with my 30/60/90 sketching with this. This one took more or less an hour. Decided to go for a loose style but I still think it turned out too "restricted" and that there is one ugly gargoyle. Well, it's a start so it'll have to make do.

30/60/90 Minute Sketching

Starting today I will be drawing and posting sketches that take 30- 90 minutes to draw. I'll begin with this Venom doodle I drew a short while ago (which actually took less than 30 minutes.. which is probably obvious).

Since I do this for a living I actually draw almost everyday, but most of the time I feel exhausted to draw something else for practice or just for the heck of it. So I thought this would be a good move to get rid of my procrastination, laziness and help me build my skills while I'm having fun.

My good friend Yildiray Cinar has always been an inspiration to me especially in his enthusiasm to draw at every available chance. He's been drawing and posting some amazing sketches recently which has acted as another reason for me to do this.

Realistically I don't think I will be able to draw something solid every day but hopefully I'll keep this up as long as I can and on a regular basis even if I give breaks once in a while.
